6 Reasons Why Knowing Someone With a Gypsy Soul is Good For You

 

      When you think of a gypsy usually you think a thief in a sense, or someone who cons people out of their things, but what if I were to say that not all gypsies are like that. That there is a different version of a gypsy and you could even know one; a gypsy in short is someone who is free-spirited with a driven ambition to live life at it's fiercest, someone who is fearless in every aspect. As I said you probably know a gypsy, well someone with a gypsy soul at least and here's six reasons why they're good to keep around.


1. They push you to do the things that scare you 

   Whether it be big or small, they push you to do the things that scare you the most because somehow they know it will be good for you. You're so much bigger than the thing that scares and they know this, so every now and then let them push you to talk to that cute guy/girl at the bar or be fearless and ride that zip-line across the amusement park because once you're actually in the moment all fear will be diminished and for a split second you will feel electrified.


2. They know exactly all the perfect places to getaway away from life

    This is a big thing because you and I both know that we've all had those days where it's all to much to be present and we just want to throw the towel in and give up, but you don't have too because you know that one person who somehow always know just the right place to take you. The place where you can scream as loud as you need too without someone trying to rescue from a nonexistent threat, the place where you can see the stars the brightest at 3 am, and the place where it feels like the heaviness weighing on your chest finally dissipates. If not for any other reason, keep them around at least for this because you know you would go crazy without those getaways.


3. They're always up for an unplanned road trip 
 
   How many people do you know that you could call up at 2 am, who would be ready at the drop of a pen to leave the town or the state on a last minute road trip? A gypsy soul is always ready for a new adventure and if they had plans it's most likely that whoever it was will understand because we all know that they are never tied down by anything.

4. They're blunt, but somehow they're loving about it 

   I mean seriously when was the last that someone told you to cool it with the junk food cause you were getting a little pudgy around the edges, but somehow managed to say it in a way that was totally inoffensive? For those of you know a person with a gypsy soul, you know exactly what I mean when I say that despite knowing they're far from innocent you can't help but view them that way, which keeps all things offensive somehow inoffensive.


5. They know all the best songs to jam too 

     Honestly they somehow have at least one song from every genre out there, and there are so many different kinds. They know what songs are perfectly fitting for every moment and if you ever needed a soundtrack for your entire life, you know exactly who to ask to make your mix tape.


6. Their charm never fails to get you out of those sticky situations 

    If you're the sort of person who just seems to attract trouble, you'll know exactly what I mean when I say that you basically owe your life to your gypsy-souled friend because they always know exactly what to say and do whenever things get a bit awkward.



I could write an entire book an why those gypsy-souled people are worthwhile, but that maybe would be overselling the point of this.
There's this famous saying, cliche as it is and it would be to never judge a book by it's cover; which in the purest of words is completely true and something that I have lived by over the last few years of my life. We are always too quick to judge those people who seem a little off or come across as threatening, I'm just as guilty as the next person is for doing exactly that. Which is why I ask you next time your free-spirited, brutally honest friend asks you to come with them on an impromptu getaway, say yes because it is very rarely that they will ask someone to accompany them on a trip that is meant for them to learn how to breathe again.
